The positions are located in the Field Office, UNMISS Bentiu and the incumbents will operate under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Field Office or his/her designate.

High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education at college, university or specialized training institution in journalism and mass communication is an asset.

At least 4 years of relevant experience in providing interpretation/translation services, administration, or community development related field is required.Experience with an International organization or similar multi-lateral or non-governmental organization is desirable. A valid Driving license is desirable.

Fluency in Written and Spoken English is required. Knowledge of Arabic and local language spoken in the duty station is desirable.

Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.

This position is subject to local recruitment pursuant to staff rule 4.4 of the United Nations Staff Rules. All staff in the General Service and related categories shall be recruited in the country or within commuting distance of each office, irrespective of their nationality and of the length of time they may have been in the country. Passing the Global General Service Test (GGST) is a prerequisite for recruitment consideration in the General Services and related categories in the United Nations Secretariat.
