Job Summary/Purpose The ESG Strategy and Impact Analyst will be a key member driving forward the ESG agenda at Sandoz. The Analyst will support the ESG team as it moves forward the company-wide agenda focused on four key pillars: Access, Environment, People, and Corporate Governance.
Your Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support the ESG team as it advances cross-business initiatives across four key pillars: Access, Environment, People and Corporate Governance
- Track progress on ESG Key Performance Indicators and engage with the ESG team to develop strategies to effectively meet our goals
- Working with stakeholders across the business, develop and implement strategies to measure Sandoz’ social and environmental impacts, with a particular focus on how our medicines impact the lives of people worldwide.
- Support the activities of internal ESG councils and working groups
- Partner closely with the ESG reporting team to ensure translation of the ESG strategy to external disclosures
- Respond to varied requests from Sandoz business units on strategy guidance, data provision, and need for cross-function coordination
- Support ESG leadership in developing strategies that enable Sandoz to engage on key ESG issues externally, including sustainability and access-focused NGOs or working groups
- Support development of strategy and communication products that enable the ESG team to educate and engage with the Sandoz board, leadership, and global team
- Support tracking and analysis of global regulations related to sustainability and emissions that may impact Sandoz’ work
What you’ll bring to the role: Essential Requirements: - 2+ years’ experience working on ESG and sustainability issues with exposure to publicly traded companies
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment driving required ESG practices and reporting
- Knowledge of ESG reporting regimes (TCFD, CDP, etc.) as well as the topics important to ratings agencies (MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, etc.)
- Strong written communications skills
- Highly organized self-starter, able to network with diverse teams across a large enterprise
- PowerPoint, Word, and Excel fluency
- Fluent English, other languages are a plus
Desirable Requirements: - Pharmaceutical industry experience or exposure desired
