You will be part of the Compliance and Governance Division in the Directorate General Secretariat. Our Division, which comprises 17 members of staff, helps the Executive Board and the Chief Compliance and Governance Officer to protect the integrity and reputation of the ECB by promoting ethical standards of behaviour within the institution and strengthening its accountability and transparency. We are currently reviewing our ethics rules, establishing processes to protect against retaliation, consolidating our procedures for the disclosure of ECB documents and developing internal processes governing the management of conduct risk.
You will join a team of people who are responsible for (i) developing and implementing the ECB’s ethics regime and its document disclosure framework and conducting regular reviews to ensure that these remain up to date, (ii) taking the necessary steps to promote and monitor compliance with the ECB’s ethics regime, including the provision of ongoing training, (iii) supporting the enhancement and harmonisation of ethics and compliance standards within the Eurosystem and European banking supervision, (iv) coordinating requests and queries received from the European Ombudsman and (v) contributing to the consolidation of internal business rules.
