Our strategy? To be anything but typical strategy consultants! Our unconventional nature is embedded deep in our DNA. 60 years ago, BCG shook up the world of strategy consulting. Now, it has grown to become one of the world leaders in the field. How do we manage to stay ahead of the pack? The answer is simple: by reinventing ourselves every day and providing a home with diverse career opportunities to the best talent and most creative minds all over the world. And by giving you the chance to make an impact in business and society. BCG stands for authenticity, exceptional work, and strong integrity. Our most vital resource is our people. That's why Human Resources is one of our most important teams: From recruiting to career development for BCGers, from training and mobility support to staffing (assigning our consultants to client casework), the Human Resources Team plays a decisive role in making BCG not just a company, but a Group in which every employee can become their best.
Teaming(at)BCG is a global priority initiative sponsored by BCG's executive committee with the goal of providing growth and sustainability for our staff and ensuring that we can recruit and retain the most ambitious and diverse group of individuals. Over the last years, we have developed a fit-for-purpose Teaming(at)BCG offering for our Business Services Team that includes methods, tools, practices, behaviors, and team coaching. Using different types of team engagements, this offering has proven to increase team effectiveness and sustainability.
This role as a Team Performance Coach will apply the Teaming(at)BCG offering to our internal functional teams (HR, Marketing, Finance, etc.). Your key responsibility will be to work together with the functional line managers and their selected teams through coaching, facilitation, training, best-practice sharing, and content development. This support will include setting up new teams as much as accelerating the growth of existing teams. You will coach both individuals and teams, facilitate trainings, and support adoption of new practices and tools, including digital ones. Furthermore, you will closely work together with and lead our network of Team Champions, which has been established to scale the Teaming methodology.
As a Team Performance Coach, you'll work across three areas:
- Team coaching—coaching functional teams and their line managers and accelerating the adoption of new practices, with an emphasis on enabling effective leadership and high-performing teaming (50%)
- Empowering our network of ~ 60 Team Champions with upskilling and engagement sessions (40%)
- Innovating the global Teaming(at)BCG content and offering (10%)
