Amazon Web Services is launching the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC), a milestone in Utility Computing. We are looking for skilled Support Engineers to join the AWS Managed Operations team in Berlin. You will help build and lead operations for high-availability services like EC2, S3, and Lambda, specifically tailored for EU customers. This role offers the chance to influence the future of AWS technology while ensuring top-tier reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee the ESC launch in 2025, collaborating with global teams to enhance day-to-day operations. Your daily tasks include resolving software system issues, improving procedures, and maintaining efficient documentation. As a key technical contact, you will dive deep into complex problems to ensure the efficiency of team systems. Participation in an on-call rotation is required to maintain service excellence around the clock.

Requirements
- EU citizenship and residency within the EU are mandatory for this role.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux and networking environments.
- Experience with high-availability distributed systems and Infrastructure as Code is a plus.
