St. George's School is looking for a dynamic and caring Primary German Teaching Assistant to support our Primary Department to start in August 2024.

The National Curriculum is taught throughout the school; we offer the IB Diploma in our Sixth form.

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Primary German Teaching Assistant to work in our flourishing primary department.

Fluency in English and German, and familiarity with the English National Curriculum are a prerequisite. A strong desire to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of the department is also an advantage.

Given the growing and developing nature of the school, flexibility and the desire to support other team members is essential. A strong desire to contribute to the rich pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school will also be an advantage.

The German Teaching Assistant works closely with the Class Teachers to provide stimulating learning opportunities for pupils. They assist with monitoring and guiding pupils academic, social and emotional development as well as their general welfare. The Assistants supports Class teachers in observing children to keep careful track of pupils’ progress and maintain regular dialogue with the Class Teacher.
