Educational Specialist for Kindergarten

The Metropolitan International School is a multilingual (English, German) daycare center located in Mannheim, Heidelberg, Viernheim, and Geneva. We are currently seeking full-time (40 hours) or part-time (20-30 hours) staff to strengthen our team in the infant care area in Mannheim.

Your responsibilities with us:

• Educational guidance and care for children aged 0-3 years
• Preparation, implementation, and follow-up of educational activities
• Documentation of children's development and targeted support
• Assistance for non-English-speaking children in learning the English language
• Playful and creative structuring of daily routines
• Planning of excursions, celebrations, and projects within a small team
• Parental involvement

We expect:

• Successfully completed training as an educator, childhood educator, childcare worker, psychologist, elementary school educator, or similar
• Extended certificate of good conduct
• Empathy and a loving approach to children
• Enjoyment and enthusiasm in working with children
• Open to beginners or those re-entering the profession
• Social competence and teamwork
• High standards for oneself and the quality of educational work
• Organizational skills
• Ability to observe and document developmental processes in a structured manner
• Implementation of the educational concept
• Ability to self-reflect critically in one's work
• English as a first language or at a native level
