Your Responsibilities
Ready to lead the charge in ensuring safety and fostering a culture of continuous improvement? As our Manager Incidents & Investigations, you'll be at the forefront of tracking and monitoring all HESS incidents, accidents, and near miss events across our fleet of vessels. Your expertise in investigation and follow-up will be instrumental in identifying contributing factors and root causes, leading to the implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions. Collaborating closely with the Director IAG, you'll play a pivotal role in formal investigations, preparing comprehensive reports and presentations to share valuable insights and lessons learned. As CMG's Incident Management System owner, you'll be the focal point for supporting Level 3 and Level 2 investigations, cementing your position as the guard of safety and continuous improvement within our organization
- Track and monitor all HESS incidents/accidents/near miss events registered by the vessels and report them to the concerned parties. Do the needed follow up to identify contributing factors, root causes, and appropriate corrective / preventative actions
- Support the Director IAG in performing investigation and follow-up
- Perform formal investigations on those incidents or events
- Prepare periodical incidents summary reports / investigation reports / summary presentations to effectively increase awareness and promulgate the lessons learned within the managed vessels, Carnival Maritime shore management and Carnival Corporation & plc.
- Act as CMG's IAG focal point for supporting Level 3 and Level 2 investigations.
- Be the CMG owner of Incident Management System
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Maritime engineer or maritime navigation is mandatory. An additional diploma in Safety and Accident Investigation – “Marine Transport PgCert is desirable
- A Master in STCW95 A‐II/2 or an equivalent qualification is mandatory
- At least 5 years of senior professional experience in the Maritime sector, preferably in the cruise industry
- At least 2 years of experience in conducting marine accident investigations, including the analysis of onboard electronic data like VDR, NACOS and SMCS
- Analytical skills, creative thinking and problem solving
- A reliable and problem-solving attitude with effective communication skills across multiple teams and an independent and drive oriented personality conclude your profile
- A leadership experience in the Maritime sector including experience ashore in a safety management/ investigation/ compliance/ audit role
- Business Fluent English (English is our company’s official language)
- Profound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Access)
