Your Role
The Microsurgery Business Unit at Carl Zeiss Meditec AG focuses on select customer groups including Neuro- and Spinesurgery, ENT and Plastic & Reconstructive surgery, and Dentistry. Your role as Business developer will focus on one select customer group where you will help achieve our growth plans by
- Contributing to the development and execution of the customer group’s strategy
- Identify, evaluate, and execute internal and external growth opportunities and manage the funnel
- Execute and manage strategic projects
- Build up deep knowledge about the inner workings of the corresponding markets, and the customer and competitor landscape
- Stay ahead on the latest developments, innovations, and trends
- Lead market intelligence and monitor the competitive landscape
- Be the single point of contact for business development-related activities and corresponding functional expertise
Your Profile
- A degree with excellent grades in natural sciences, medicine, healthcare, engineering, or economics. PhD or MBA a plus
- Professional experience at one of the leading management consultancies, in business development, or in corporate strategy required
- Practical experience in strategy development, business development, and project management. Project experience in managing complex strategic projects, M&A, or strategic partnership development
- Profound experience in market and competition analysis, company evaluation, and business case development. Outstanding analytical competence and strategic thinking
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse and interdisciplinary teams
- Ready to work in the medical device industry, with medical doctors and surgeons (inside and outside the operating room)
- Experience within the medical technology industry a plus
- Fluent English skills, German a plus
