Does empowering Intrapreneurs, who want to shape the Deep Tech ecosystem with novel and disruptive technologies, excite you? ZEISS Ventures, a unit within the ZEISS Group, supports teams that challenge and advance technological frontiers in Medical Technology, Industrial Quality, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Vision and other exciting fields.
We are looking for an experienced entrepreneur or venture builder who is passionate about identifying market shaping opportunities that are between, beyond, or disruptive to the core strategic business units of the ZEISS Group and turn them into successful business ventures.
Your Role
- Closely work with intrapreneurs, tech specialists, creative minds and thought leaders across our global organization on identifying, framing and building of new business ventures
- Work with the ZEISS Ventures team to scale the internal venturing framework and portfolio along the whole funnel from sourcing, validation, incubation and acceleration
- Actively engage in the venture community within ZEISS group and drive ideas and methods that will accelerate and redefine the way we solve problems for our clients
- Network and cultivate internal partnerships within ZEISS to provide funding and resources for new business activities and grow a culture of entrepreneurship in the organization
Your profile
- Background in medical devices, health tech or life science industries
- Experience in building a startup or new business ventures in a corporate environment, ideally in a leading or commercial role
- Solid experience and proficiency in providing thought leadership around building new businesses
- Ability to coach and influence internal stakeholders in a large global organization as well as founders and external partners from the innovation community.
- Background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Life Sciences/Healthcare ideally coupled with an MBA.
This role can be based out Munich, Oberkochen or Jena.
