About the role

The IPP have been set ambitious targets to triple the growth of the portfolio size by 2025, therefore we are looking to recruit a Financial Portfolio Analyst (m/f/d) to support the IPP team in the commercial and business case development of the portfolio, project pipeline delivery and financing and market research activities.
The role will be based in Munich but with remote working opportunities within Germany. Salary dependent on experience.

Financial Portfolio Analysis

• You will use best practice financial models and analysis tools to evaluate acquisition and operational onshore wind, solar PV and storage projects as well as other business development activities in terms of costs and value.
• You are responsible for the creation of a portfolio financial model to enhance the selection of assets and to develop an optimised portfolio financing solution.
• You will support in the determination of techno-financial and ESG based key performance indicators (KPIs) to develop the investment strategy for the IPP.

Strategic Support

• You will work to assess new business models and route to market opportunities for projects coordinating with country Project Managers and centralised teams.
• You will support in conducting capital market and competitor analysis to collect, interpret and communicate results for strategic recommendations to the IPP team and higher management.
• You will set-up and manage an internal database of project benchmarks to assist with cross checking and evaluation, working alongside centralised teams of Project Financing, Corporate Finance and Global Services.

• You hold a relevant university degree in numerical discipline such as Maths, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Science or similar.
• You have relevant work experience of at least two years in finance, banking or relatable industry.
• You have experience of business modelling and valuation techniques, ideally with exposure to project financing.
• You are creative and pragmatic with an ability to find solutions to challenging problems.
• You are organised and able to manage multiple projects and international stakeholders.
• You have the ability to translate analysis into practical and implementable recommendations.
• You can act independently and takes on challenges willingly but are also a team player, willing to provide support to all colleagues.
• You have an understanding of database management with experience in using data visualisation tools, e.g Python, PowerBi, etc.
• You have renewable energy industry valuation or research experience would be a plus.
• You are fluent in English; fluency in German and other languages would be a plus.
