Job Summary
Become a key player at PennEngineering! Collaborate closely with customers and regional distributors, providing expert knowledge of PEM® self-clinching fasteners from design to full production. Drive growth by promoting and introducing innovative products and productivity solutions using Haeger®, IN-DIE, and PEMSERTER® installation equipment. Manage projects, create detailed quotations, and conduct follow-up meetings to expand business opportunities. Utilize Salesforce CRM for detailed reporting and effective communication with PennEngineering® teams. Work strategically with senior management and distribution partners on key accounts.
Specific Job Responsibilities
- Achieve and surpass agreed-upon sales targets and performance metrics.
- Prioritize new business development with both new and existing clients in sectors like Electronics, Industrial, and Automotive, leveraging the engineering team for technical expertise.
- Cultivate lasting relationships with key OEMs, Tier suppliers, and their supply chains by understanding and addressing their needs.
- Maintain and strengthen cooperation with PennEngineering’s regional distribution network.
- Deliver impactful technical presentations showcasing how our products and services fulfill customer requirements.
- Collect data from distributors and customers in a standardized format (forecasts, sales & stock reports, price monitoring, etc.).
- Support marketing initiatives by participating in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
- Champion the promotion of Haeger®, IN-DIE, and PEMSERTER® installation equipment to boost PEM® fastener sales.
- Promote value-added services, encompassing both technical aspects and total cost of ownership benefits.
- Provide expert advice and solutions to customers on PEM® fastener selection, including sample installations and test report data from the Applications Engineering Department.
- Maintain company assets, including files, expense records, company vehicle, laptop, mobile phone, and other communication devices.
- Prepare monthly territory reports, providing updates on key projects and targets.
- Maintain and update customer information and activity within the CRM system (salesforce.com), tracking pipeline progression.
- Develop territory reviews for sales meetings, including activity updates from the Applications Engineering team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering; mechanical engineering preferred.
- Experience in the Automotive market, including Automotive Electronics and Electric Vehicles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with excellent presentation skills.
- Minimum 2 years of technical customer interface experience, selling product and process technical value into Industrial or Automotive markets.
- Background in sheet metal forming/fabrication is a plus.
Role Requirements

- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the territory (and overseas) as needed.
- Excellent verbal and presentation communication abilities.
- Valid EU driving license.
