Vestas Nacelles Deutschland GmbH is outstanding in the development, production, and repair of various types of wind turbine generators. The company is a division of Vestas Wind Systems A/S in Denmark and was awarded the Safety Award within Vestas in 2023. The Vestas Group is a well-known manufacturer of wind turbines.
For this position we are looking for someone with advanced HSE knowledge to join a solid management team and work on the development and launch of new products (NPI) without losing focus on existing production.
We are looking for a motivated and committed HSE specialist (f/m/d). You plan, implement, monitor and optimize operational processes in the areas of environmental management, health protection and occupational safety and ensure compliance with the relevant environmental protection, health and safety laws and regulations in the organization. Other tasks include:
- You will implement Vestas' health and safety strategy and principles in the factory, promote a zero-accident culture and be the point of contact for relevant authorities, including internal and external audits and reviews
- They influence all processes that impact safety within the factory and facilitate, support and push for safety improvements and they support the factory manager and the organization on all HSE related issues
- Follow up and coordinate incident and accident investigations and corrective actions
- You identify and establish the required HSE training for the organization
- You ensure internal assessments of threats and protective measures
- You will communicate HSE related matters to the organization
- You will facilitate the implementation of the HSE management system, minimum compliance with laws and regulations, ISO 14001, ISO 450001, ISO 500001 and Vestas procedures
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration with engineering/manufacturing experience
- Qualification as an occupational safety specialist (completion of Phase III in the electrical industry would be advantageous)
- Several years of professional experience in the areas of environmental management, health protection and occupational safety
- Experience in building/maintaining a high safety culture
- Experience with incident analysis
- Good understanding of HSE tools
- Auditor knowledge is advantageous
- Leadership skills in change management
- Experience in budget planning and tracking
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, including presentations
- Strong cooperation and communication skills
- Action-oriented, customer-oriented, technical and results-oriented
- You speak English and German fluently
