The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Worldwide Campus is seeking a Temporary Assistant Campus Director (ACD) at our Katterbach Campus, starting November 15th and ending January 17th. As the ACD, you'll be involved in general campus administration, recruitment, public relations, and marketing efforts, providing information about our programs to both civilian and military communities.
Advising/Student Services
Offer expert academic advice, guiding students through program selection, degree mapping, and completion timelines. Track progress, make enrollment recommendations, and connect students with university resources. Ensure policy enforcement and maintain confidentiality. Proactively engage with students to promote success and retention. Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, processing waivers and addressing student/instructor issues.
Other student services:
- Evaluate student requests for drops, waivers, program changes, and graduation applications.
- Prepare unofficial evaluations, manage student records, and monitor financial status.
- Engage with prospects, applicants, and current students through various communication channels.
- Promote scholarship opportunities and maintain timely email correspondence.
Outreach/Community Relations
- Represent Embry-Riddle at college fairs and military briefings, promoting our programs.
- Communicate with local organizations to schedule events and maintain relationships with Education Services Officers (ESOs).
- Adhere to the outreach budget and maintain visual marketing displays.
- Represent the university professionally to attract prospects and retain students.
- Use personal vehicle for outreach events.
Administrative
- Demonstrate strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills. Respond promptly to correspondence.
- Provide administrative support, including answering phones, processing mail, ordering supplies, and assisting faculty.
- Maintain campus operational hours and ensure classrooms are ready for use.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree
- (1-3) years of related experience
Required Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
- Analytical skills and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet applications.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Academic advising experience
- Attention to detail and initiative
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Aviation background desired
