Your Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Line Managers and R&D to define and execute standardization strategies for Optical Transport Infrastructure and Ethernet.
• Advocate for Nokia’s technical interests in global forums such as ITU-T Study Group 15, IEEE 802.3, and the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF).
• Develop and review technical contributions that support our product roadmap while monitoring competitor initiatives to ensure compatibility.
• Provide critical briefings and reports on standardization progress to internal stakeholders in R&D and product management.
• Cultivate influential relationships with key industry executives and partners to drive innovation.

What You Bring to the Team

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field; an advanced degree is highly preferred.
• Extensive experience in telecom products, specifically within network operators or equipment suppliers.
• Deep technical expertise in optical networking technologies, including OTN, High-Speed Ethernet, and coherent modulation.
• Proven ability to navigate complex industry landscapes and identify emerging architectural requirements for service provider environments.
• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills to lead and influence in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex technology strategies for engineers, executives, and customers alike.
