Die City of Columbus in Bayern sucht einen engagierten Community Interventionist zur Gewaltprävention und Trauma-Bewältigung im Jugendbereich. Der Stelleninhaber arbeitet direkt im Youth Outreach Programm und bietet Interventionen für Einzelpersonen an. Zu den Aufgaben gehören der Aufbau von Beziehungen in der Gemeinde, die Unterstützung bei Konflikten und die Vermittlung von Ressourcen. Die Position erfordert Erfahrung in der Gemeinwesenarbeit und die Fähigkeit, mit emotional und verhaltensauffälligen Personen umzugehen.
Build relationships within the assigned area through canvassing, open house events, and on-site visits. Interact with the community as an individual and as part of response teams.
Actively engage with individuals involved in gang, teen/young adult, neighborhood, and family conflicts for the Neighborhood Violence Intervention process. Assist in strategies to remove illegal guns from the community.
Engage with individuals and families after violent events like assaults or homicides, offering voluntary intervention programming. Assist teens, young adults, or adults.
Intervene to prevent violent activity, adhering to stringent safety protocols.
Reach out to individuals referred through hospitals, police, courts, schools, libraries, and community networks.
Provide services focused on goal setting for job and life skills. Encourage training, family reunification, job readiness, and community service. Refer participants to resources for housing, food, and utility assistance.
Communicate intervention progress verbally and through documentation. Collaborate with community safety initiative teams.
Communicate with parents, school personnel, and faith providers to encourage goal attainment and reduce risk behaviors.
Assist in city response to violence by arranging home visits and attending crisis response efforts.
Represent the Youth Development section at city events, festivals, funerals, and wellness events. Mitigate teen conflicts and promote peace building.
Use tracking software to document participant progress and validate achievement benchmarks.
Collect and analyze data on contacts, service linkage success, and program evaluation.
Refer social, medical, or mental wellness concerns to appropriate agencies and provide information and resources.
Attend training to stay updated on conflict resolution, trauma-informed care, cultural awareness, and psychological first aid.
Requires two (2) years of experience in outreach, case management, intervention with individuals facing emotional or behavioral challenges, security experience, assisting individuals with accessing healthcare, or leading community improvement initiatives. Equivalent coursework or a bachelor’s degree may substitute for experience.
