The Institute of Cell and Tumor Biology is looking for a
PhD student (f/m/d)
The part-time position 65% (25,03 h./week) starts as soon as possible and is funded for 3 years. The successful applicants will be encouraged to work towards a doctoral degree.
Tasks:
You will predominately work with murine models of disease to explore the stromal niche contribution to bone marrow fibrosis using:
- Mouse work
- Flow cytometry and cell sorting
- Single cell transcriptomic analysis and data integration
- Histological analysis of tissues
- Cell culture
Requirements for the candidate:
- Ability to work with mouse models and samples
- Basic lab skills (Flow cytometry, histology, cell culture, qPCR, ELISA, etc.)
- Desirable
- Experience with murine models
- Experience in molecular biology (RNA extraction, qPCR, etc.)
- Experience in fluorescence microscopy
- Experience in advanced cell culture
- Biocomputational skills (programming in R and/or Python)
- Excellent ability to work in a team
- Excellent oral and written English and strong communication skills (Level C2)
- Demonstrated self-motivation, organizational skills and scientific thinking from research project(s).
