Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President Sales EMEA, the Vice President Enterprise Sales Germany provides leadership, direction and stewardship to the country’s enterprise sales organization and is responsible for developing and maintaining the sales function ensuring revenue growth across our direct sales channel.

The VP Enterprise Sales is accountable for the Germany sales organization’s revenue performance, the profitable achievement of the organization’s sales goals and for aligning the organizations sales objectives with the regional and company business strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Leads a high performing field sales organization able to achieve superior results, growing business with existing customers, closing new opportunities and new logos

• Increase sales velocity through increased targeting, activity, and/or win rates to exponentially increase the number of new opportunities, win ratio and new logos won annually.

• Drive activity across direct and channel distribution motions

• Attracts, recruits, trains, and retains exceptional diverse sales talent in the organization

• Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required

• Taps into strengths and leverages the differences of diverse talent to optimize efficiency, productivity and effectiveness.

• Creates a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement in combination with developing a culture supporting safe, open, inclusive and accepting working environments

• Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with other colleagues and teams globally to meet shared objectives. Promotes cross-functional understanding

• Manages the sales organization, operations (budget, headcount, expenses) and resources to deliver profitable growth

• Has a command of the business as a whole and utilizes analytical capabilities and deep tactical and strategic knowledge of their own business to perform diagnostics on the health of their business

• Applies this business and marketplace knowledge to advance the organizations goals

Knowledge and experience sought

• Substantial experience in a sales leadership role in a digital infrastructure organization or infrastructure software enterprise and managing a team of 20+

• Strong technical knowledge a plus including network infrastructure, Cloud, SaaS, PaaS, enterprise hardware and software

• A proven track record of developing and winning new business achieving/over-achieving annual quota ownership

• Experience selling in a global, large account-management matrixed environment

• In-depth knowledge of sales technologies and CRM software, selling strategies and methods with the proven ability to manage and analyze all areas associated with sales activities and processes to ensure primary goals are achieved and appropriate attention is dedicated to prospecting and calling on clients

• Successful experience monitoring and evaluating sales representatives’ and sales leaders’ progress against stated expectations in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations
