We are currently looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to support the German Marketplace business. Reporting to the Head of Finance Marketplace DE and working with EU teams as well, your scope is broad. While making sure the drivers of growth and profitability are well understood, you help the business with actionable insights. You nurture a fact driven decision making process by providing financial analyses and controllership. Cooperating closely with the DE business team and the European finance team, you ensure benchmarking and continuous improvement of finance processes.

In this role, you will:

• Tell the story of Amazon Marketplace in Germany from a finance perspective and provide gap analysis;
• Develop tools that help us better understand business performance;
• Define, maintain and develop performance metrics and generate actionable insights;
• Run ad hoc analyses, review business cases, analyze performance versus goals and actively participate in projects to ensure we are taking the right decisions in our business;
• Take on ad hoc projects and roles beyond Germany to support the EU Marketplace business;
• Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management;
• Assess business cases, perform ROI analysis and drive cost saving initiatives.

• MBA, or CPA
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
