Your job in the finance team

As the Senior Financial Accountant, you are not only responsible for the financial reporting of the DACH sub-region, but also leading and motivating the German accounting team. You will report to the Finance Director DACH and weekly/monthly responsibilities will include:

• Timely preparation of monthly financial statements and financial reports
• Monitoring the accuracy and completeness of accounting transactions and financial statements
• Consolidating, reviewing and analysing financial data
• Preparing liquidity forecasts and management of cash management
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial and accounting principles
• Ensuring all legal requirements of legal entities are in line and correct
• Participating in the analysis of deviations between budget and actual and other KPIs
• Participating in the audit process with external and internal auditors and timely implementation of internal controls

You and the role

We’re looking for someone with a -do approach, who enjoys working in a solution-oriented manner, is interested in personal and professional development and enjoys collaborating with international teams.

You will have the following:

• Proven several years of professional experience in finance and in-depth knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, HGB, IFRS rules - ideally in an agency or consultancy
• A university Masters degree in finance, accounting, economics, or appropriate professional qualifications and background
• You are able to communicate with different stakeholders and create trust
• You find it easy to prioritise conflicting priorities and tasks, and work in a solution- and decision-oriented manner
• Some previous experience with team leadership / mentorship
• The ability to converse easily in both German and English
• The willingness to occasionally travel to our other locations in DACH
