It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.
What you will be doing
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
- act as the technical expert to ensure product and process quality of our small series prototypes,
- interact with and assist the manufacturing engineering teams in preparing and executing the appropriate quality methods and records,
- develop quality assurance concepts according to the desired Technology Readiness Levels (TRL),
- accompany test vehicle commissioning and assess certificates of calibration and conformance, as well as MSA and test procedures,
- assess test and inspection reports against engineering and regulatory standards,
- coordinate non-conformance reports and commission product and manufacturing, inspection or test process audits,
- work in scrum teams to foster the product vision, ensure lean testing and inspection,
- be an advocate for built-in-quality according to the Electrical strategy of Rolls-Royce.
Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role you will need to:
- successfully completed training as a technician or university studies with a specialization in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or industrial engineering, or equivalent.
- accumulated several years of professional experience in production and manufacturing quality control, as well as verification activities for requirements-based engineering products and prototypes.
- demonstrated profound knowledge of aviation-specific standards, such as AS/EN 9100, 9116, AS 13100, DO-160, ARP4754, and ISO 10007 or equivalent for Configuration Management,
- showcased practical experience in conducting technical reviews as well as working independently with a strong focus on quality and reliability,
- exhibited expertise in software usage and a robust mix of analytical and methodological skills in collaboration with others,
- be excited about exploring new approaches and working in a team on innovative solutions,
- be prepared for regular business trips to Munich if based in Dahlewitz or Cottbus,
- have business fluent English skills (German skills desirable).
