Responsibilities:

Plan, design, conduct, and report on projects using scientific methods to improve coatings products and processes.

Provide technical business support and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Evaluate the economic impact of projects and estimate costs, resources, and time required.

Lead project teams expertly, ensuring timely delivery of project work.

Support factories on pilot production, define quality control and manufacturing procedures.

Prepare sophisticated calculations, specifications, and technical documentation for prototype designs.

Stay updated on advances and innovations in coatings research and development.

Follow all guidelines and Group procedures regarding Health & Safety and Environment
Skills:
-
University degree in technical studies (Chemical engineering) or valuable Chemistry education.

Background on organic chemistry, polymers or coatings would be a strong advantage.

Strong chemical/physical background.
-
Proficient in both German and English language and excellent communication skills.

Digital literacy.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and individually.
General Requirements:

Flexibility to work at other Hempel R&D locations like Denmark or Spain for an extended period.

Preferably based in or around Merzig, Germany.

EU/German working permit is required.
