Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Cultivate strong partner relationships to drive business growth and understand their priorities and strategies in alignment with Microsoft's goals. Stay informed about market trends and connect with key players to pursue business opportunities.
  • Gain experience in renewal and new deal negotiations, adhering to contractual parameters.
  • Collaborate with leaders and team members to develop an account vision based on partner business goals and value propositions for products, channels, or solutions.
  • Utilize internal resources to highlight the benefits of partnering with Microsoft and seek guidance from senior account managers on account risks.


Relationship Building and Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., category, specialist sales, marketing) to support partners. Share business plans with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the promotion of modern solutions and services to partners to enhance customer satisfaction. Articulate the impact of the modern solution ecosystem on partner business.
  • Attend industry events and training to stay updated on industry and competitor information. Build professional connections, networks, and understand market trends. Apply learnings to improve future events.
  • Engage in technical discussions with partners on Microsoft's offerings. Collaborate with Microsoft Consumer Business (MCB) to share accountabilities. Learn about One Microsoft value propositions.


Account Management

  • Work with internal stakeholders and partners to develop joint business plans that generate revenue for both parties. Consider short- and long-term goals.
  • Assist in managing and executing account plans to ensure sales goals are met. Hold self and partner accountable for plan execution.
  • Draft reports with account updates and metrics to evaluate revenue and activation targets.
  • Reconcile partner reporting data, track KPIs, and drive actionable outcomes from customer feedback. Create, negotiate, and execute promotions, ensuring compliance with guidelines. Respond to audit feedback and resolve financial reconciliation issues.
  • Assist with forecasting to examine trends, monitor progress, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate partners' business to suggest products or solutions to fill account gaps.


Market/Partner Readiness

  • Consult with stakeholders to define activities and expectations to meet sales goals and develop go-to-market strategies with partners.
