Join the Amazon Robotics – Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team!
We're seeking a talented Technical Program Manager to develop, implement, and enhance the performance management and indicator landscape for our products. You'll collaborate with internal Customers (Operations, Maintenance, Process, OpsEngineering, etc.), external stakeholders (e.g. vendors), and MSP team members to ensure solutions meet performance management requirements.
The MSP team's core mission is to drive innovation across all aspects of Mechatronics and Packaging, encompassing industrial hardware/control machines like robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials. We forge strategic partnerships with key stakeholders such as Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, etc., to deliver robust products seamlessly integrated into the Amazon Fulfillment network.
As Technical Program Manager - Performance Management, you'll spearhead initiatives to ensure our product's performance management capabilities (KPI systems, information access, and deep dive opportunities) meet our customer's high standards. This demands close collaboration with customers (primarily Customer Fulfillment Operations) and stakeholders (e.g., ACES, WWDE, Supply Chain, Operations Engineering, Finance).
The ideal candidate excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and effectively leveraging support from other teams. Strong communication skills are vital for aligning MSP with other functions. You'll work effectively across large engineering and operations teams, ensuring quality across all products. Attention to detail, technical acumen, communication skills, collaboration, analytical and abstract thinking, and organizational skills are essential.
Key job responsibilities:
- Travel 50 - 75% to gather firsthand customer feedback and secure buy-in for initiatives
- Collaborate with BI/Data Engineering teams to deliver KPIs and information access
- Support reporting of key performance metrics to internal & external stakeholders
- Work closely with technical leaders and program managers to shape product improvement roadmaps
- Craft compelling narratives and present them to Directors and VPs
- Empower team members with information access and support their inquiries
- Demonstrate strong program management, organizational, and leadership skills for effective project meetings
This role requires experience developing and executing technical roadmaps in automation and robotics. Prior experience working directly with automation and robotics engineering teams is essential.
