What does the role involve?

You are the driving force behind initiatives for process compliance and process enhancement in the development environment of our power tools, particularly in the area of embedded software development. In doing so, you control the quality-relevant tasks in the corresponding areas and projects and carry out reviews.

You strive for continuous improvement in the development of platform components with the goal of reducing product-specific risks and potential hazards. Together with the project teams, you ensure product maturity in the projects for which you are responsible at the respective project and test phases within the development of new products. In doing so, you systematically lead the root cause research of occurred deviations by applying problem solving methods (e.g. 8D, 5Why, Ishikawa,...) and transfer them into the process landscape as long-term optimizations.

For the software product development lifecycle, you identify and implement software process metrics, deriving preventive measures to improve software quality. You will act in close collaboration with product development to ensure requirements such as design, development, verification and validation reviews, design design and change management.

What you need is:

Completed university studies (Master) in the fields of computer science, electrical engineering or mechatronics and at least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development or software quality
Extensive experience in embedded software development and testing
In-depth knowledge of relevant programming languages such as C/C++
Knowledge of the latest devops technologies and concepts such as CI/CD
Ability to build networks internally and externally
Presentation of projects / results in specific committees (including management)
Team player with very good communication skills in an interdisciplinary and international environment
Fluent English skills
