Essential Duties
- Plans, directs, and controls import activities on a day-to-day basis.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key customers and key suppliers resolving concerns, interacting with customer service, operations and sales personnel to resolve any conflicts on a timely basis.
- Supervises import documentation.
- Oversee obtaining and processing of Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate, arranging delivery, and invoicing the import Accounts to their SOP.
- Supervise coordination of the release of goods from the carrier, customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Position may require extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing and walking.
- Some light lifting may be required in some instances.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Understanding of Customs regulations, tariffs and interpretations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have excellent client service skills, responding promptly and professionally to client needs and requests for service and assistance.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight,
- volume and distance measurements
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email and various PC based. software.
- Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years related experience.
- Minimum 3 years industry experience preferred.
- Minimum three years supervisory experience required.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
