Phd student position (f/m/d)
The full-time position (38,5 hours/week) is available immediately and initially limited till 31th of December 2026 with option of prolongation. The successful applicants will be encouraged to work towards a doctoral degree.
Your tasks:
Work on the IZKF project (musculoskeletal modeling) in the FACROS network, with measurement and analysis of patients with Friedreich's ataxia and adolescent ideopathic scoliosis. The patients are to be measured several times over 3 years.
- Active participation in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the project's experiments
- Independent evaluation and graphic documentation of results obtained
- Publications in national or international journals
- Application of digital biomechanical multi-body models of humans (software)
- Supervision of student research projects including topic definition, guidance, supervision of work and monitoring of results
Your profile:
- Completed scientific university degree (Master's or Diploma), preferably in sports science, natural sciences or Medical studies or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Knowledge in the fields of biomechanics, physiology, anatomy and ergonomics
- Very good written and spoken English language skills (level C1)
- Interest in working with patients
- Very good communication skills
- Extensive experience with Python an advantage
- Experience with PowerPoint, Word, Google Docs and LaTeX desirable
