We are looking for a talented and motivated Cost Engineer (m/f/d) to join our European Purchasing Team at our Eching office near Munich.

As a Cost Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in optimizing the cost and value of our components, products, and their production. You will be responsible for creating target cost calculations for mechanical and functional components, collaborating with European purchasing and development departments, and identifying cost-down potential.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to support the purchasing of renewable energy certificates for European plants and CO2 neutrality activity of DENSO Europe. You will also be responsible for developing cost analysis tools and researching related data.

• Create target cost calculations for mechanical (die casting, machining, stamping, injection molding, etc.) and functional components
• Collaborate with European purchasing and development departments with cost analysis, cost plausibility checks, and negotiation support
• Develop cost analysis tools and research related data
• Identify cost-down potential and organize supplier workshops
• Support the purchasing of renewable energy certificates for European plants
• Support CO2 neutrality activity of DENSO Europe

• A degree in a technical field (Engineering and Business Administration, Industrial engineering, or Mechanical engineering)
• Initial experience in the areas of cost and value analysis or in the field of production engineering (e.g. production planning)
• Fluency in written and spoken English and German
• Commercial knowledge is an advantage
