The Material (Supply Chain) Manager supervises and is responsible for all aspects of ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of parts needed for the repair of USAF assets. Carries out all duties in accordance with applicable AFI’s. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Quality Management System (QMS).
Essential Responsibilities:
- In coordination with the Superintendents and work center supervisors, performs record keeping, report preparation and duties related to a function supply point.
- Formulates procedures to procure parts according to priority set by their Supervisor, the Site Manager, Program Management Office (PMO), DPM and USAFE,
- Responsible for updating supply inventories and preparing status reports and other prescribed documentation as directed.
- Implements the precepts of quality assurance within the guidelines set forth in program. Ensures that all work is completed to this quality standard and provides subordinate’s feedback.
- Responsible for the ordering, tracking, inventory, and processing of all parts requirements and establishes various categories of special demand levels to meet all production requirements.
- Prepares and submits Quality/Material Deficiency reports when required. Receives, reviews, consolidates, and submits all other required reports to the Superintendents in a timely manner.
- Responds to requests from the USAF and other authorized officials for relative documentation on production efforts as they relate to the supply system.
- Is actively involved in the USAF Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) program and responds to environmental issues as required.
- Accountable for the quality of all outgoing requisitions, receipt of parts, logging and tracking assets under their control and issues parts in accordance with USAF procedures.
- On receipt of parts, checks for correct type and quantity. Assigns bin location and annotates on listings.
- Makes certain requested parts are expeditiously placed on order and document control numbers are affixed to requisition forms.
- Uses DPAS Warehouse exclusively for the receipt and issuance of all parts received through supply and ICOPARS.
- Responsible for conducting semiannual inventories on all parts, OVE and equipment items.
- Guarantees the quality of the site bench stock program and ensures inventories of bench stock/working stock are conducted monthly.
- Performs random checks on the accuracy of documents and compares parts request to entries on the parts ordered/issued on work order.
- Annotates parts record with document numbers after processing has been completed by SBSS.
- Carries out follow ups on parts status in conjunction with the Maintenance Control Specialist.
- Ensures that the work area is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness at all times.
- Performs TDY in the area of operations as required by any USAF tasking.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
- Must be familiar with the USAF Supply/FEDLOG, DPAS, ICOPARS systems.
- Must possess a valid home country driver’s license and ability to obtain host nation driver’s license.
- May be required to operate material handling equipment.
Required Baseline Education:
- A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An Associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.
Contract Requirements in accordance with Appendix J:
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance
- 10 years’ experience leading a supply chain organization.
- 10 years’ experience in ESS/ILSS functions
- Working knowledge of manual and automated supply accounting systems, AFH 23-123, AFI 23-101, and AFMAN 23-122, AFH 23-123 Vol 3, 24-203 Chap 3, AFMAN 25-101policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge with DPAS.
