- Accountability for all R&T project assigned to you and control accounts
- Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of R&T project assigned to you to ensure successful program execution
- Develop and monitor program baselines and performance, risk, opportunities, cost & schedule
- Define, secure, organize and budgets and schedule essential for the successful completion of all R&T projects assigned
- Develop good internal/external communication systems
- Ensure that R&T Project requirements, purposes, objectives, and expectations are communicated and flowed-down to the internal team and subcontractors
- Resolve conflicts, demands and priorities on assigned projects as needed
- Work unplanned program issues to a best solution, including development of plans-forward, escalation and adapt budget and schedule , as required
- Effectively communicate program status to R&T PMO leadership and Chief Engineer
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineering, operations, contracts, subcontracts, finance, security, staffing, and procurement
- For supplier project management, responsibilities will focus on managing the cost, schedule and technical performance of key vendors
- The ideal candidate will possess leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, be a strong team player, and have the ability to establish solid working relationships with technical staff, peers, suppliers and leadership within the organization
- B.S /B.A. in Engineering, Science or Mathematics or equivalent with 5-10 years of relevant aerospace industry experience
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading engineering, development, test and certification projects
- Experience managing innovative solutions to technical problems
- Experience working and managing multiple stakeholders relationships with Engineering, Operations, Integrated Supply Chain, and Quality
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience implementing, EVMS, Risk & Opportunity Management, and IMS tools and processes (Microsoft Project is a plus)
- Successful demonstration of preparing, managing and presenting required Gate reviews to leadership
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- R&T Project manager roles additionally require experience successfully managing vendors - generating SOWs, evaluating proposals, performing source selections, evaluating and leading the cost, schedule and technical performance of suppliers
