HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an energetic and customer oriented Systems Administrator (Client Systems Technician) to support the U.S. Air Forces Europe (USAFE) Air Forces Africa (AFAFRICA) Intelligence Directorate (A2) at Ramstein AB, Germany. The Systems Administrator provides computer systems maintenance and repair, conducts diagnosis, and resolves hardware, software, firmware and network problems. This position will configure, maintain and upgrade devices, network hardware and software equipment, and other associated automation equipment.
- Maintains superior operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Must interact with users and provide evaluations of vendor products. Will provide recommendations on purchases of hardware and software, coordinate installations and provide backup recovery actions. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Support the acquisition, planning, integration, implementation, and accreditation of a specified systems supporting Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance (ISR) for the USAFE-AFAFRICA/A2 Director of Intelligence.
- Coordinates installation and operation of systems with the Intelligence Directorate IT staff, ISR planners, and external ISR system program offices. Provides system administration/maintenance Tier 1 and Tier 2 support based on industry and Air Force standards, support clients for all system problems and anomalies. Support trouble tickets submitted via the appropriate ticketing system.
- Assist Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in providing systems security management, technical analysis, and documentation support.
- Administer user accounts, file permissions, and print queues supporting ISR customers on NIPR/SIPR and AFJWICS domains within USAFE-AFAFRICA Directorate of Intelligence.
- Load and configure software packages, updates, and patches to NIPR/SIPR systems/laptops within secured facilities to ensure required compliance. Provide technical support to include troubleshooting user operating problems, application problems, system configuration issues and malfunctions, and network operating problems.
- Perform software maintenance comprised of running utility software, isolating client, server, or peripheral configuration problems, cleaning file systems of extraneous temporary and log files, maintaining the approved system baseline.
- Providing support for classified storage and processing communications of intelligence systems to ensure information availability, integrity, authentication, and confidentiality.
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- 5 years of systems administration and/or client support for DoD customers
- Must be eligible for Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) as issued by the DOCPER office
- Clearance- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI
- Must be personable, professional, and client focused in all aspects of the job
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with ServiceNow trouble ticketing system
- Experience with setting up, building, and modifying new content and pages in SharePoint
