What part will you play?

In your role as “DevOps Engineer” you will be at the core, that our future portfolio offerings become reality.

You will ensure the setup and maintenance of an efficient and future-proof infrastructure which enables software development teams to deliver at speed, with high quality, high reliability, and reusing components wherever possible
You will work on the templates provided by the central DevOps Enablement team, adapt them where needed towards your project needs, always with the focus to reach new levels of productivity using CI/CD
We are looking forward to your contribution in regards to best practices to enable our internal and external partners and to develop world class solutions based on our portfolio
Keeping the dots togethers, shape an inner-source community, and automate whatever is possible are other important tasks
You proficiently communicate and coordinate with other internal and external organizations and departments

What you need to make real what matters.

You are having a bachelor degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
Profound technical domain expertise working as a DevOps Engineer is your background
With multiple years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and Kubernetes you are well prepared
Your experience in providing Infrastructure as Code templates with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane, etc. is solid
You have expertise with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, etc.
Working experience as a Full-Stack SW Engineer with languages as Python, Node.js (TypeScript), JavaScript, Go, Java, or C# will help you getting to the core
Additionally very good know how in Jira, Visual Studio Code, K8s, FluxCD, Docker, et al. is of advantage
You can offer very good experiences in using and customizing Gitlab, Github, which are basis of code.siemens.com
Deriving best practices and providing profound documentations to a broad internal as well as external audience is something you did before
Fluent communication in English is your daily business and you are an absolute team player
