As an internationally operating company, we are looking for a Solar Designer for our solar power plants in Germany.
Your Responsibilities:
- Creation of single-line diagrams for HV, MV, and LV systems with one-and-a-half busbars, double busbars, etc.
- Selection and design of the entire configuration of HV, MV, and LV systems in compliance with relevant specifications and local and international standards for transformers, voltage transformers, surge arresters, etc.
- Technical analyses and calculations of power supply systems
- Short-circuit analysis, load flow analysis, grounding calculations, equipment sizing calculations
- Protection and coordination study; relay coordination and selectivity, HV and MV relay protection (50/50N, 51/51N, 67/67N, 21/21N, 87L, 87T, 27, etc.), generator protection relay settings, review of international specific protection methods
- Calculations and reports on HV & LV AC designs, selection of auxiliary transformers, power transformers, and other equipment
- Calculation of DC & AC, LV, HV & MV AC systems, selection of appropriate cable and conductor cross-sections
- Calculation of voltage drop, power losses, compensation design, etc., according to local and international standards and/or customer requirements
- Definition and processing of all components for release
Your Profile:
- Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a comparable degree
- At least 4 years of experience in electrical planning, ideally in renewable energies
- Creation of detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, and documentation for HV, MV, and LV systems according to customer requirements, budgets, and schedules
- Support in tenders in collaboration with the supply chain
- Preparation of system architecture and creation of bill of quantities and material lists
- Familiarity with all codes and calculation methods
- Evaluation of technical offers from suppliers and development of technical specifications and scopes of work for engineering firms and contractors
- Familiarity with relevant codes, calculations, and design programs (AutoCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP)
- Knowledge of SCADA and communication systems is an advantage
- Experience with 2D design programs
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken, as well as proficiency in MS Office
- Good planning, organizational, and multitasking skills, team-oriented and committed
