Post-Doc PBPK Modeling (m/w/d)

The Position

If you are interested in working in a global R&D team and bringing state-of-the-art simulation tools from science to direct application in the development of new veterinary drug products, then you are at the right place. We are a highly motivated interdisciplinary team that specializes in pharmacokinetics and PBPK modeling. Our focus is on developing safe, efficacious and innovative products for Animal Health to deliver the best quality to our patients.

This position is limited for 2 years.

AUFGABEN UND ZUSTÄNDIGKEITEN

In your new role, you integrate in vitro and in vivo animal data in physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) models to predict the absorption kinetics of drug candidates.
You identify interrelationships between formulations (e.g., oral, transdermal, and long-acting subcutaneous injection routes) and pharmacokinetics
You use formulation characteristics to assess and improve absorption kinetics of a drug
To communicate your findings, you use appropriate data analysis techniques and visualization tools.
Furthermore, you contribute to an informed decision making and strategy for an early absorption assessment up to a later stage of drug development.
You interpret and communicate your results to a global interdisciplinary audience and to experts in the field.

ANFORDERUNGEN

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy, Pharmacometrics or related life sciences
In depth knowledge about formulation science, chemistry, and pharmacokinetics
Hands-on experience in one of the standard PBPK modelling platforms (e.g., Gastroplus, Simcyp, PK-SIM, R or Matlab)
Basic knowledge of drug development, biopharmaceutics and biology/physiology
Scientific experience and ability to review scientific literature
High ability to work in a multidisciplinary team as well as written and verbal communication skills and presentation capabilities in English
Command of the German language is of advantage

Recruitment process:
