How to contribute to our vision
- As the Site Manager you will be responsible for the adherence to defined guidelines, processes and procedures, for all site operations assigned and oversee completion of site administration according to performance standards agreed (on schedule, at requisite quality level, on-budget).
- You will be representing the site in all decision-making committees of the project (towards own management, customer and team). This will also include assume economic responsibility, e.g. calculates material, personnel, and running contract costs for suppliers. Coordination of contractors before and during execution of work will also fall under your responsibilities.
- The establishment of efficient methods/processes for site controlling and reporting together with assessing risks/opportunities at the construction site (e.g., economic, organizational or contractual risks, acceptance criteria, change request procedures) will also be part of your responsibilities together with monitoring compliance of standards, regulations, laws, quality and HSE -guidelines.
- The projects are to be executed within the project’s time frame to the Siemens Gamesa quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards and financials restraints according to the contract and PM principles. While continue to protect Siemens Gamesa’s interest you should endeavor to maintain good customer relationship and satisfaction.
- Additionally, the Site Manager will be planning and cooperating with all stakeholders on site assuring that the project is on track, that the communication flow is intact, that all HSE requirement are uphold, oversee the project budget, time schedule as well as cooperating with the local farmers, police, fire brigade etc.
- It is expected that there will be 250 days per Year on site in Mid/North Europe, there is in a rotation within the team of 3 weeks out, and 1 week off or 6 weeks out and 2 weeks off.
What you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
- We are also looking for an experienced leader with proven track record in large international construction projects and possessing in-depth technical knowledge of wind turbine products and related logistics.
- We expect you hold a degree within mechanical-, electrical- or construction engineering with several years of experience from similar positions. Experience from the Wind industry is an advantage
- You should be able to handle conflicts and be a solution orientated individual who can understand technical issues, work processes and activities at site and who is a team player able to maintain high performing teams.
- You will have a solid understanding of the work processes at project sites, with broad planning, production, assembly and commissioning know-how as well as in-depth knowledge of business planning and the business process.
- You will also need to be focused on HSE and Quality and be able to identify risks before they happen and have solid knowledge and understanding of Siemens Gamesa, Sphera, QA and EHS processes.
- Additionally, it is vital that you are prepared to take upon a position that requires a lot of travelling and a high level of English is essential, as it is the corporate language of Siemens Gamesa.
