Metropolitan International School is a multilingual (English, German) Kindergarten and Nursery located in Mannheim, Heidelberg, Viernheim and Geneva. Our multi-professional, international team in Heidelberg cares for a total of 30 children.
For the Nursery in Heidelberg, we are looking for full-time (40 hrs) or part-time (20-30 hrs) staff member to join our team.

Your tasks with us:

• Pedagogical support and care of the children aged 0-3 years old
• Preparation, implementation and follow-up of pedagogical activities
• Documentation of the child's development and targeted support
• Supporting non-English speaking children in learning the English
• Playful and creative organization of the daily routine
• Planning of excursions, celebrations and projects in a small team
• Work with parents

We expect:

• A successfully completed training as an educator, childhood educator, child care worker, psychologist, elementary school educator or similar
• Extended police record (Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis)
• Empathy as well as affectionate contact with children
• Joy and fun in working with children
• We gladly also consider job beginners or re-entrants
• Social competence and ability to work in a team
• High standards for yourself and for the quality of your pedagogical work
• Organizational skills
• Ability to observe and document developmental processes in a structured manner
• Implementation of the pedagogical concept
• Ability to reflect self-critically on one's work
• English as a first language or at first language level
