Werde Teil des Vitesco Technologies Teams: Local Area Network Engineer (m/f/d) in Regensburg

Your new responsibilities:

• Ensure optimal operation of multiple large-scale Local Area Networks in complex routed environments (Cover mission critical support in both Office and shop floor at multiple locations)
• Planning, implementation, operation of both wired and wireless networks (Maintain documentation and monitoring)
• Provide networking related 2nd and 3rd level support to our Local ITs
• Project Management related to network infrastructure projects
• Service Review Meetings with internal/external partners
• Acting as an intermediary to customers and vendors
• Support other network services in close collaboration with the globally distributed team, such as:
  • RADIUS & other authentication methods (e.g., WiFi authentication)
  • DHCP & DNS
  • Recommend improvements to network infrastructure and associated components/services
  • Work closely with global colleagues to meet team goals, KPIs, and improve processes
  • Monitor/resolve issues through our global ticketing & change management systems

Your qualifications:

• Completed degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or comparable qualification
• Long term professional experience in operating large scale local area networks
• Long term professional experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices
• Profound knowledge of Cisco and HP networking, including advanced switching and routing
• Fluent German and English skills written and spoken
• Ability to understand and implement network traffic analysis, remote access & firewall encryption, authentication & authorization technologies
• Ability to work with a geographically diverse team and to operate complex environments
• Strong oral, written, communications and presentation skills
