Your Role

Design and realize the best user workflows in collaboration with our dev team, product owners, domain experts, UX/UI team, and testers. You can work on the full stack of our CAD software:

• 
  extend the GUI for our next generation desktop CAD product called "Straumann Nova™"
• improve our 3D graphics, mesh algorithms and rendering pipeline to bring faster results to our dentists
• create new kinds of 3D interactions to make the dental design more intuitive
• streamline build pipelines and improve deployment processes
• adapt data models, persistence, workflow state machine logic and others to support new functionalities
• review other team member´s code, we value code quality and long-term value

Your skill set

• 
  at least 2 year professional experience and expertise in Java 9 or other object-oriented languages (C#, C++, etc.)
• experience in any of the following areas is a bonus: DevOps, multi-threading, JavaFX, shaders, 3D computational graphics, performance profiling, TypeScript, Angular
• the ability to write solid, maintainable and testable performant code
• good communication skills for successful cross-functional collaboration both inside and outside of your team
• German language skills are a plus

How we work

At Straumann Group Berlin, we value autonomy, openness, and delivering quality software on time. To do that we work closely together as a team, and it is important to us that every member can improve our product and processes. We find that an Agile approach with daily stand-ups, 3-week sprints, demos and retros work best for us to achieve our aims. We also collaborate with other colleagues in Montreal every other day.

Our tech stack includes Java, IntelliJ, JUnit, Git, Gerrit, Sonar, Jenkins, Redmine and Slack. For GUI design we use JavaFX and OpenGL 4.5 for 3D visualisation.
