Senior IoT Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Senior IoT Engineer to join our agile team. As a Senior IoT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying IoT solutions that leverage AWS services. Your expertise in Python, hardware testing, 3D printing, and mass-production of hardware will be vital in bringing our IoT products from concept to reality.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop end-to-end IoT solutions that integrate with AWS cloud services, ensuring secure and reliable communication between devices and the cloud
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design hardware components, and develop applications for IoT devices
• Conduct rigorous hardware testing, including functional testing, performance evaluation, and reliability testing to ensure the quality and durability of IoT devices
• Utilize 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques to create and iterate on physical prototypes of IoT devices for design verification and testing
• Lead the mass-production process of IoT hardware, collaborating with manufacturers to ensure quality control, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of production units
• Collaborate to implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure, including device provisioning, data storage, and device management
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in IoT technologies, AWS services, and hardware design, continuously improving the team's technical capabilities

WHO YOU ARE

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field and proven experience as an IoT Engineer, with a focus on designing and deploying IoT solutions using AWS cloud services
• Proficiency in developing production-ready software in different programming languages, e.g. Python, Kotlin, or Go and solid experience in hardware testing and evaluation, with the ability to identify and resolve hardware-related issues
• Familiarity with 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques for creating physical prototypes of IoT devices and knowledge of mass-production processes and experience in collaborating with manufacturers for hardware production
• Understanding of IoT communication protocols, such as MQTT, CoAP, or HTTP, and experience with IoT connectivity technologies (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LoRa, etc.)
• Knowledge of edge computing and implementing edge devices in IoT architectures including security best practices and data encryption techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex IoT system issues effectively
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
