Your mission
The task is to cover all CAD related topics in the Production team and to take over parts, ready for production, from design development and to check their manufacturability. Further, you will prepare respective production methods.
More specifically, you will:
- Check models and manufacturing drawings for different manufacturing methods and challenge possible difficulties in design
- Approach colleagues in charge for the respective manufacturing methods to ensure technical feasability from early on
- Support engineers to design components in accordance to internal manufacturing constraints
- Ongoing support in improvement of more efficient manufacturing
- Check completeness of assemblies and their correct installations before release
- Design equipment such as mounting fixtures, cleaning fixtures, or similar (Create CAD models and drawings)
Who you are and what you have
- B.sc/M.sc in an Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Relevant work experience in a similar role
- Strong practical experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software (PDM)
- Strong knowledge in various manufacturing methods, preferably milling, turning or 3-D printing
- Basic knowledge in work preparation
- Hands-on experience (e.g. machining, etc.)
- High standard of written and spoken English and German
