Dedicated SME, Virtual Payment Expert
American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) is the global leader in travel management services for companies and organizations. This opportunity is for a Dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) on GBT´s Virtual Payment Expert (VPE) to support a specific client on global initiatives related to Virtual Payment Expert. The VPE SME is responsible for providing a best-in-class support for the country expansion on VPE as well as the management of the ongoing product use of VPE, including invoice collection on a global basis. The Dedicated SME will be part of the Payments Product Team, report into the Director Payments and work closely with the client´s commercial team, including CGMs and TC teams.
We are looking for a service-oriented person, who is knowledgeable and passionate about developing on into corporate payment solutions as well as client facing activities. The success of the VPE rollout of this client is very much dependent on this role. The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of client´s requirements related to his virtual payment program and ensure success of this program for the client globally.
To be successful, this person will not only interact with the client, on various levels, but also with Commercial, Product Teams, Implementations, ConfermaPay and Amex Card, the payment provider of this client.
Role Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic client facing SME for GBT´s VPE and support the client with its virtual payment country rollout
- Be primary contact person for client (Travel Management, finance and other) on any questions and support related to VPE
- Provide client with SME support, expertise and training on ConfermaPay tools (CPO Online, SNAP)
- Build strong interaction with ConfermaPay on any client related questions and issues
- Build strong interaction with Amex Card as the global card provider of this client
- Support with invoice collection service as and where needed
- Work closely with the VPE product and implementation team to ensure a smooth rollout and program management
- Work closely with the commercial team to be on top of what is going on with the client in general
- Ensure VPE product success with this client
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years in client operating or product role with a proven track record of success
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Strong ability to effectively consult and communicate to/with a variety of stakeholders (internally and externally)
- Ability to identify issues or challenges requiring escalation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- First understanding of corporate payment solutions and virtual payment solutions
- Self-motivated and results oriented
