Savills Investment Management is an international real estate investment manager with 16 offices worldwide, 12 of which are in Europe. Our German team is represented by around 70 experienced real estate professionals in three locations in Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg and Munich and is responsible for real estate assets of over EUR 6.5 billion, of which almost EUR 3 billion are in Germany. Job Purpose

Savills IM is seeking an analyst in the Research & Strategy team in Munich, Germany. The role will support Head of Research & Strategy Germany across a range of activities, primarily covering real estate equity investments in the commercial, living, and natural capital real estate sectors. The role will work closely with the wider Global Research & Strategy team and Global Chief Investment Officer, Equity Investments.

Your responsibilities will include...

• Monitoring and reporting on key German and Pan-European macro-economic, real estate and capital market trends;
• Contributing to research publications, including client reporting, quarterly market outlook reports and one-off thematic research papers;
• Contributing to house view discussions with respective colleagues in the organisation and helping enforce these recommendations across relevant stakeholders;
• Supporting the Research & Strategy and investment teams with client engagement and investment strategy considerations;
• Reviewing external research relating to the economic and property market outlook and other topical issues;
• A dedicated focus on the Living sector in Germany and Europe; candidates with an interest or experience in this sector are preferred.

We are looking for Candidates with...

• A keen interest and understanding of real estate investment and the key drivers of their performance;
• Some relevant work experience in the real estate investment sector,
• Strong academic qualifications and an analytical and inquisitive mindset;
• Excellent written and oral communication in German and English. We welcome candidates with other relevant languages, but this is not essential;
• An ability to produce concise and thoughtful materials and communicate the findings to a wide variety of internal and external audiences at all levels of seniority;
• An ability to demonstrate a high level of tenacity and attention to detail;
• A strong interest in sustainability & ESG trends in the real estate sector;
• The ability to analyse situations, recommend sound solutions and implement strategies;
• The motivation to be an efficient self-starter
• Comfort working towards short deadlines and juggling multiple work streams at once;
• A good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint. Knowledge of other relevant statistical software and experience managing datasets will be a plus but not essential;
• Flexibility for travel, potentially at short notice.
