What to Expect

We are looking for energetic and committed Team Leaders (m/f/d) who will lead the motivated diverse teams of Quality Technicians/Materials Testers (m/f/d) for our Materials testing Laboratory, during our day and night shift operations.

The professional management of employees (m/f/d) as well as support of the supervisor in delegating responsibilities within the team to ensure efficient laboratory operations in the 24/7 production environment of the Tesla Model Y will determine your everyday life.

What You’ll Do

You are the first point of contact for issues within the team and take initial measures upon new coming requests (aiming proactive and permanent contact with the related departments/shops).
Carry out various mechenical and chemical test procedures according to DIN ISO / ASTM.
You Identify restrictions in the workflow, solve the problems and escalate where needed.
You are responsible for documenting Test Methods/Reports and maintaining cleanliness (5S-based Workplace Management) in your area of responsibility.
You work directly with the Operations Supervisor to resolve the line maintenance issues, questions and support implementing of countermeasures to improve quality of the products.
You support the Supervisor in the lab supervision, evaluation and induction of employees and new joiners (onboarding) as well as by the necessary employee trainings related to the workplace safety requirements and the workflow maintenance.
You perform other Material Lab related duties as assigned by the supervisor, e.g. monitoring of Laboratory Equipment & ensure calibration/maintenance/servicing are performed on the right way, performing the weekly 5S-audits in the responsible rooms, etc.
You drive safety related issues and improvements in the laboratory via close collaboration with EHS department.

What You’ll Bring

You have completed a technical education.
You have experience working in a Laboratory Environment
You are able to work in shifts (including weekends and holidays) and you are flexible/ready regarding required schedule changes in urgent cases.
You possess the ability to provide detailed daily reporting and update Supervisor with the workflow status in your ownership area.
You have a hands-on experience in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, the ability to handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines.
You are fluent in English or/and German.
You possess strong motivation and desire to provide the Laboratories with continuous development, growth, and improvement of the workflows to achieve the EXCELLENCE level Quality.
Experience/Knowledge in TQM, PFMEA, 5W and other quality related methods is wished.
