Duties at NeXR

• Evaluation and prototyping of new technologies to see their capabilities
• Reporting to and sparring with Head of Tech
• Mentoring, sparring with and guiding the tech team
• Taking part in the hiring process of new tech employees
• Iterate over conventions and guidelines with the team
• Iterate over implementation and concept approaches
• Own the creation of technical concepts with the team
• Support the team with your coding skills if they need it
• Supporting the team when facing technical issues
• Removing of work obstacles with head of tech

Responsibilities at NeXR

• Quality of released code
• Quality of architecture decisions
• Documenting and defining technology decisions
• Documentation quality
• Uphold conventions, guidelines and tailor them to the company needs and constraints
• Being a positive and enthusiastic influence, upholding team morale
• Representing the team

MUST HAVE

• UE5 knowledge at least 4.27
• Knows the current new capabilities of UE and can explain the advantages of them
• Understanding Shader- and Render pipelines
• Broad understanding of Software engineering principles
• Broad understanding of Software architecture principles
• Understanding the importance of performance and how to achieve it
• Shipped at least one AA game, simulation or similar virtual experience in the role of senior or lead
• Being able to turn a high concept into a detailed technical concept with the team

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge about Cloud / SaaS infrastructures
• Deployment and orchestration
• Build environments
