About the role
Reporting to the selected Service Coordinator, Support Workers will be part of our frontline team in either Supported Living or Social & Learning (Community Outreach). The post holder(s) will be integral to the support delivered to adults with a disability, autism or an acquired brain injury to live as independently as possible – in the community and at home. The holder will be reliable, flexible and approach their work with a ‘can do’ attitude. No qualifications are necessary for the role as full training will be provided. All we ask is that you hold our values. This role is an exciting opportunity that will allow you to do something meaningful and develop as a person, colleague and supporter.
Key duties and responsibilities
The post holder will:
- Support, encourage and enable individuals to achieve their full potential.
- Work consistently to the individual’s guidelines for support to ensure people are supported to a high standard.
- Support individuals to make their own decisions by providing a range of useful, comprehensive information in ways that are accessible and easy to understand.
- Ensure the safe administration of medication and the completion of full and accurate medication records.
- Support individuals to maintain current relationships and develop a variety of different relationships.
- Take part in regular supervisions and team meetings as and when required.
- Keep full records of income and expenditure in compliance with Natural Breaks financial administrative procedures.
- Participate in a backup on-call system if applicable or required.
