What to Expect
As the Fleet Management Coordinator, you will take full ownership of Tesla’s diverse fleet of heavy-lift and mobile equipment. This includes everything from scissor and boom lifts to heavy-duty trucks and advanced AGVs. You will act as the central point of contact for all internal departments, ensuring that equipment is utilized safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while maintaining peak performance through rigorous monitoring.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate all internal equipment requests from engineering, production, and construction teams.
- Manage a real-time inventory and tracking system using platforms like SAP or ServiceNow to schedule and reserve assets.
- Oversee allocation requests based on operational priority and safety requirements.
- Develop and execute comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules for all equipment classes.
- Manage reactive repairs and unscheduled maintenance in collaboration with internal shops and external providers.
- Ensure strict compliance with OEM guidelines, Tesla safety protocols, and local regulations such as EU-OSHA.
- Conduct safety inspections (UVV), manage certifications, and lead periodic audits.
- Maintain detailed logs for every asset, including service history, downtime, and operational costs.
- Analyze and present KPI dashboards focusing on utilization rates, maintenance costs, and reliability.
- Lead root-cause analyses for recurring equipment failures to implement long-term corrective actions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams like Logistics and ESG to align fleet operations with sustainability goals.
What You'll Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- 3–5 years of professional experience managing industrial or construction equipment fleets.
- Proven expertise in coordinating maintenance programs and navigating compliance audits.
- Technical proficiency with fleet management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- A solid understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- The ability to transform complex data into actionable KPI reports and recommendations.
- Strong communication skills, with C1 level English; German language skills (B1) are a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 or equivalent safety standards for aerial lifts and industrial trucks.
- The flexibility to work in shifts and respond to urgent operational needs outside of standard hours.
