BACKGROUND

Research has shown that domestic abuse lasts for around three years in high-risk cases. This needn’t be the case. Victims in high-risk settings turn to the police or health services on average three times for support in leaving before finally receiving the help they need to escape the perpetrator.

We are currently building a tool that will be used by police and healthcare practitioners across Europe – including the UK. The tool will help them more effectively identify and support high-risk victims of domestic abuse.

We are looking for a Data Analyst/Scientist with programming skills in Python (and R) to support data anylsis & research.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

Conduct desktop research, and using books, journal articles, newspaper sources, questionnaires, surveys, polls, and interviews to gather data
Analyzing and interpreting patterns and trends
Create proposals, research findings and deliver presentations when required
Organize and schedule appointments with admin software
Plan meetings and take detailed minutes

Basic competences should include:

Clean / wrangle data
Visualize data / create reporting tables
Analyze & explore data
Statistics knowledge
Optional: machine learning knowledge & skills
Optional: German language skills
Optional: domain knowledge about domestic abuse

INTERVIEW

The first round will be a thirty-minute interview to gauge your personality fit. Those who are called back for a second-round interview will be expected to complete a coding assessment. We will send you a list of skills we're testing prior to the assessment.
