We are looking for a knowledge-thirsty Working Student for our Backend chapter (all genders) who will join one of our international cross-functional Product teams – team “Prime”.

The team is constantly working on our Go-based microservice backend. You will add new functionality backend-wise in close cooperation with the Mobile Engineers to meet the evolving needs of our users.

What you can expect

• Contribute to the lifecycle of specific features and product areas from design to release
• Program mostly in Go and Typescript within a group of experienced Developers committed to learning, sharing, and continual improvement to fulfill our goals
• Working with data on a high scale in a microservice and event-based architecture
• Participate in the design of software architecture and selection of technologies to the implementation of new services in collaboration with our Mobile and Quality Assurance Engineers
• Help monitor and improve our existing backend services on a regular basis with a high expectation of smooth implementation
• Attend conferences and professional development through online courses and trainings

Your Profile

• Studies in the field of software development
• Ideally first experience in working with relational databases and non-relational data stores
• Initial knowledge of Golang skills or the motivation to acquire them as well as a high passion for software quality, including testing, code review and documentation are a big plus
• Git, Docker and containers are familiar to you
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm is an advantage as is the experience with GCP – Google Cloud Platform or any other Cloud Provider, Terraform, and CI/CD tools
• Comprehension of gRPC web service design, implementation and maintenance are a strong plus
• Reliable and structured way of working as well as a hands-on mentality and a goal orientation
• A focused and solution oriented working methodology
• Very good English skills, both written and spoken
