Your tasks

• Carry out of R&D projects, involving new material development and innovations.
• Quality control of materials in the chemistry lab.
• Support the local teams at operating units regarding quality control (incoming inspections and resin management) of key insulating materials.
• Support the manufacture in all operating units on chemistry related issues.
• Assure the quality of insulation materials used in the high voltage laboratory to produce test objects.

Your profile

• Degree in the field of chemistry or chemical engineering; background on polymer science and material engineering is an advantage.
• Professional experience in thermal analysis (DSC, TGA) is desirable.
• Good knowledge on polymer characterization methods is also a plus.
• Able to work on projects to develop polymers and polymerization processes and identify the causes of problems that arise in the field of chemistry.
• Interface to the quality and purchasing departments.
• Very good knowledge in English language, written and spoken, is required.
