As an Applied Science Manager, you will spearhead the development of our Applied Science backbone, focusing on cutting-edge Ads Personalization. Your mission is to bridge user context with advanced content understanding to deliver a seamless customer experience.

The Role and Your Impact

In this leadership position, you will empower a high-performing team of scientists and engineers. You will oversee the delivery of scientifically-sound solutions for real-time recommendations and sponsored product campaigns. This role involves navigating complex challenges at the intersection of Deep Learning, Auction Theory, and Causal Inference, providing ample room for scientific innovation and high-load ML engineering.

What You Will Do

• Support and mentor Applied Scientists and ML Engineers to ensure high-quality output and professional growth.
• Define and execute strategic roadmaps, managing the complexities of research-driven projects.
• Drive excellence by establishing and raising standards in Applied Science and Machine Learning.
• Act as a key communicator, ensuring seamless collaboration between your scientific hub and other business units.

Your Profile

• Advanced degree (PhD or MSc) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics.
• Over 5 years of industry experience in Machine Learning, Data Science, or Deep Learning.
• Proven leadership skills with at least 2 years of experience managing teams in ambiguous environments.
• A track record of taking complex scientific solutions from ideation to production, preferably within E-commerce or Advertising.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to structure complex topics clearly.
